Reduce Your Risk for Diabetes
The YMCA of Greater Louisville now offers a 16 week program developed to reduce the risk of diabetes in individuals with pre-diabetes. The Bullitt County Family Branch program starts September Wednesday, February 17th @7:00 pm; more details here  or call Lauren or Alisha at the Healthy for Life! clinic at 852-7309.
Group Effort
Get in shape with the YMCA group training program.  Group Effort allows you to workout with other liked-minded people.   A certified personal trainer will instruct you through a challenging workout designed to shape and sculpt your body into a rock hard muscle machine.  The group will meet Tuesday nights in the Multi-Purpose room and Thursday nights in the Group Fitness room.  Note: anyone registering for both nights should visit the branch, so the discount can be applied.

Fee:   $30 for Facility Members for one night
$40 for Program Members for one night
$50 for Facility Members for both nights
$70 for Program Members for both nights

Take the Stanford Health and Lifestyle Assessment

Are you curious how your current lifestyle may be affecting your health and well-being?  Take a few minutes and complete the Standford Health and Lifestyle Assessment.

How does the tool help?

  • Outline your risk for type II diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
  • Review health behavior targets (that you set for yourself) that will help you reduce your risk and improve your health

What else can I do to improve my health?

  • Use the information in the assessment to start a conversation with your doctor, family or wellness staff at the YMCA.  Discuss what changes you can make in your lifestyle habits to improve your health
