Y Adventure Guides
The Y Adventure Guides program believes in nurturing the potential of every child while bringing families together. We encourage the important tradition of parents teaching values to their children through shared experiences. Our program is about one parent and one child spending quality time with eachother. They participate in a wide variety of fun activities while creating lifelong memories. Y Adventure Guides is open to kids ages 5-10 years and their dad or an adult male. Family Programs
Participating families are placed into "circles," which are groups of 5-10 families that live close to eachother. Circles meet once a month, rotating to the homes of different members of the circle. Dates and times of the meetings are selected by each circle to fit into families' schedules. Meeting activities may include games, songs, stories, crafts and refreshments. Activities & Special Events
Some examples of Circle outings for the Y Adventure Guides are hiking, cookouts, community services projects plus much more. Other activities may include: - Hiking
- Cookouts
- Community service projects.
- Fall and Spring Campouts
- 2 X 4 Derby
- YMCA sponsored Family Events
- And many more!
Fees:
Renewing Family
$60 father and one child* New Family (YMCA Program Member)
$80 father and one child* New Family (YMCA Facility Member)
$60 father and one child* *Add $20 per additional child for any program category
*Program fees do not include campouts.
