I am proud to be the Director of the Chestnut Street YMCA Black Achievers Program. The program has expanded from high school students to include youth in grades K-7th. I commit to helping teens succeed, while nurturing adult volunteers who are the backbone of the Program. Youth are my inspiration and motivation to go beyond my job responsibilities to assist them in fulfilling their hopes, dreams and goals through continuing education, support and positive mentoring. This willingness to assist youth allows me to seek scholarships to award program youth totaling over $1.5 million.

A native Louisvillian, I was educated in the Jefferson County Public School system, hold a Kentucky Cosmetologist License, attended Indiana University Southeast, achieved several YMCA training certifications, a faithful member of Hughlett Temple AME Zion Church, I am also active in the Neighborhood Blockwatch in my community.

More importantly, I am a mother of four and grandmother of nine, plus one great grand, Rylee. We share plenty of quality time together. We say FAMILY means Forget About Me I Love You.
