CAMP FLOYD COUNTY DAY CAMP

AGES 5-10

Campers will find fun new ways to spend their summer through individual, group, and team games and activities. Children will participate in a variety of activities which include crafts, nature studies, special projects and free play. A weekly field trip to a place of interest will further enhance themes selected each week. This program is an extension of the YMCA Child Care Enrichment Program. Both weekly and daily rates are available.

CAMP KICKOFF/PARENT ORIENTATION: MAY 20

May 20; 5:30-7 pm; Green Valley Elementary

Open House will be at each camp site Wednesday May 20, 5:30-7 pm. Parents can see the space, meet the staff, and get everything they need for the first day of camp. There will be a ‘make up’ open house on Thursday, May 28, 5:30-7 pm at the Floyd County YMCA for all camps if you are unable to attend the May 20 orientation event.

Registration Fees: $25 per child through May 8, $45 per child beginning May 9

Deposit: $10 per child per week

SUMMER CAMP WEEKLY THEMES

June 1-5 - Artful Antics 1 - Campers will start the summer strong by getting to know each other and expressing themselves with a variety of camp art. Campers can expect to get messy and creative with a variety of projects, small and large group games, and ice-breakers galore!
June 8-12 - Artful Antics 2 - Campers will continue the getting to know each other and expressing themselves with a variety of camp art. Campers can expect to get messy and creative with a variety of projects, small and large group games, and ice-breakers galore! Projects will build on what they started in the first week of camp!
June 15-19 - Space Is The Place 1 - To Infinity and Beyond! Campers will blast off this week with small and large group games to learn about space and have fun soaring like astronauts. We will fill our week with science experiments, art projects, and dress up fun!
June 22-26 - Space Is The Place 2 - We will travel to a camp far, far away to continue our space fun with more small and large group games to learn about space and have fun soaring like astronauts. We will fill our week learning about how space impacts us every day at camp!
June 29-July 3 - Party In The USA 1 - Join us for some Red, White, and Blue small and large group activities. We will compete against other groups in our own Olympics fun. Groups will compete in fun water relays, and other team sports. We will create flags, team chants and have our own team colors!
July 6-10 - Party In The USA 2 - Camps will continue the Red, white and blue fun this week learning about why we celebrate, dress up days, and lots of group projects. We will celebrate our independence with writing and drawing activities, STEM, and small and large group games to celebrate our history.
July 13-17 - Splish Splash 1 - Expect lots of water activities this week! We will continue to stay cool with water galore. Water balloons, dress up days and more. We will find a way to add water to all of our small and large group games, including crafts, STEM, and science projects. We will even be getting in a creek during our field trip!
July 20-24 - Splish Splash 2 - As the summer heats up and camp winds down we'll be keeping cool with ice, water balloons, and learning about animals and myths that live in the ocean. Pirates, Sharks, Mermaids? You Bet!
