BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Social Responsibility is one of the three focus areas of the YMCA of Greater Louisville. Generosity toward others is at the core of the Y's existence. It is through the support of our volunteers that the Northeast Family Y is able to give back to the community. When you are involved with our Y, you have the opportunity to bring lasting personal and social change to others.
Here are some of the ways you can make a difference:
The YMCA of Greater Louisville helped over 19,000 people this past year through funds raised by our Annual Campaign Fundraisers. Programs like Safety Around Water, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, and Adaptive Sports are made possible through this volunteer opportunity.
If you are looking for a rewarding experience where you will meet new people and give back to your community, it's time to learn more about becoming a Y volunteer.
For more information, please contact Andrea Ackermann at email@example.com.
The purpose of the Togetherhood Initiative is to get the YMCA more involved in the community. We will do this by participating in four volunteer projects over the course of a year. These projects will be one-day events where our Y members can volunteer and give back to organizations that need our help.
