Our Forever Young group gives the opportunity to get involved and make friends at the YMCA at Norton Commons through exercise programs designed especially with the active older adult in mind or through our various day trips and luncheons. All group exercise classes are included with membership and a minimal charge may occur with day trips and luncheons.
Enjoy the company of your Y friends at our once-a-month Forever Young get togethers. The group meets at 1:00PM on the third Friday of the month in Club Y. We provide programming and light and healthy snacks for the get togethers. We also enjoy activities in the community when weather allows. Fees may apply for some activities. Registration is required for monthly get togethers and can be completed at the Membership Desk. You can also add your email address to our distribution list and stay up to date on monthly events or outings.
GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES
Group Exercise Class is called Forever Fit. This class is a low impact high energy class geared to beginner exercisers and those who don't move as quickly as they use to. This class incorporates a cardiovascular portion, strength portion, and stretch and relaxation.
Aqua Fitness is a shallow water exercise class. A one hour, low impact cardiovascular workout. It is not necessary to know how to swim.
