The Southwest Family YMCA is proud to offer a summer of fun and special events designed to help campers make new friends and build self-confidence. Children will get to spend the majority of their day outside enjoying the great outdoors at this authentic style day camp. Don't worry; sunscreen will be applied liberally throughout each day to keep your child's skin healthy. Weekly activities and trips are scheduled around themes and campers will have the opportunity to go on one to two field trips per week as well as swim at least once a week.

June 9-13: Summer Kickoff: Children will enjoy a great time kicking off their shoes and skating while they get to know our staff, the facility and each other in this opening week. 
June 16-20: Animal Adventures: Let's hear all of our campers "ROAR!" This week will provide multiple opportunities for campers to join us on a zoo adventure. We will stay active with fun animal-themed games and activities.
June 23-27: Welcome to the Farm: We will journey to Huber's Orchard and take a day to explore and enjoy the beautiful land while taking part in some fun activities!
June 30-July 3: Splash Blast: There's no better way to beat the summer heat than by playing in the water! Campers will enjoy their time playing water games and swimming.
July 7-11: Creative Creations: It's time to see where our imaginations can take us. This week will be filled with arts, crafts and other fun projects for our campers.
July 14-18: Movin' and Groovin': Let's get moving! Campers will be bowling and moving to the beat this week as we keep moving to the beat of summer.
July 21-25: Promise of Discovery: We will visit Mega Caverns and spend the week discovering some of the amazing things the world has to offer!
July 28-August 1: Wild Things: Let's take a walk on the wild side! Campers will explore where the wild things are at the Louisville Zoo!
August 5-8: Summer Memories: During our last week, we will build upon the memories that we made over the summer. We will go ice skating and will spend time during the week with fun projects to remember the fun times we had together at camp!

Campers will need to bring a swimsuit and towel on swim days. Campers must wear closed-toed tennis shoes to camp each day. Comfortable clothes are recommended (no new clothes, please). Sunscreen should be applied daily before arriving at camp and campers should bring sunscreen each day. Backpacks are recommended. Please label all belongings with your child's name.


Campers will need to bring a non-refrigerated sack lunch each day. Please pack a nutritionally-balanced meal and place it in a bag with your child's name printed on it. We provide drinks and daily afternoon healthy snacks.


Facility Members: $121/week
Program Members: $137/week

*Weekly rates include all field trips, activities and events
*There is $25 non-refundable registration fee per child
