CAMP HONOR BRIGHT 2

AGES 10-13

Located on 17 acres of open fields and marked trails, Camp Honor Bright is a traditional outdoor day camp that provides children the excitement and thrill of camping along with memories that will last a lifetime.

SUMMER CAMP DATES, HOURS & LOCATION

Dates & Hours:June 4-August 3; 6:30 am-6:00 pm
Location:Located off Old State Road 60 in Sellersburg; Campers can be dropped off at the Clark or Floyd County Family YMCAs or at Honor Bright.

CAMP KICKOFF/PARENT ORIENTATION: MAY 31

Stop by to meet your counselors, see a tour of our lodge and ask any questions you may have. 

Due to traffic in and out we are asking for families with campers 6-7 year olds to stop by between 6:30-7:15 PM.  8-9 year olds between 7:30-8PM.  Campers 10 and up 8-8:30.

Families with multiple campers can stop by during any of the times that work well for them. Although we will not turn anyone away based on what time it is, we will have tours and information to more specifically address the needs of each age group during that time slot.  

SUMMER CAMP RATES

Registration Fees: $25 per child through April 16; $45 per child after April 16. Use promo code CAMP25 and save $25 when registering online.

Deposit: $10 per child per week

Facility Member Weekly Rate: $135 per child
Program Member Weekly Rate: $145 per child

SUMMER CAMP WEEKLY THEMES

June 4-8 Explore Honor Bright
Campers are going to have the chance to get to know their surroundings and each other. Activities this week will be heavy on ‘Get to Know You Games’ and Ice Breakers; As well as activities to help them get to know camp and be in tune with nature.

Campers will swim twice and field trip on Wednesday.

June 11-15 Wild, Wild West
Go back in time with us! This will be a rootin, tootin good week!
Campers will swim twice and field trip on Wednesday.

June 18-22 Wavy Waters
Campers will get wet and wacky this week with water infused games all week! Water balloons, slip ‘n slides, and bubbles are just getting us started.
Campers will swim twice and field trip on Wednesday.


June 25-29 Wonderful World of Disney
We are adding in the magic of Disney in this world! Games and crafts will be inspired by our favorite Disney movies.
Campers will swim twice and field trip on Wednesday.

July 2-6 (No camp July 4) Stars and Stripes
This is also our Olympic Week. On Monday and Tuesday campers will swim on their normal days. We will also be getting things prepared for our Olympic games. All campers should bring a white t-shirt on Monday or Tuesday.

There will be no camp on Wednesday, July 4th.

Thursday and Friday we will travel to the Clark County YMCA to compete against other camps. Campers will be transported to the Y for the morning. Pick up and drop off locations are the same.

July 9-13 We Love the 90’s
We are going to rock out with great music activities, talk about technology that has changed in the last 20+ years and introduce today’s campers to a great decade!
Campers will swim twice and field trip on Wednesday.

July 16-20 Survivor Week
This week we will be divided into tribes to compete in a series of activities all week. A camp favorite, campers will not want to miss a day!

July 23-27 Let’s all Move!

Caution: Our campers will be sweaty and happy coming home this week! We are going to spend the week on the go with a lot of high energy activities.

July 30 – Aug 3 Kid’s Choice Awards

This week campers will get to have many many choices! Games, activities, and crafts will include a lot of input from our campers.
