KINDER CAMP DAY CAMP

AGES 3-6

Campers will enjoy a variety of imaginative activities that nurture their spirits, challenge their minds and strengthen their bodies. Kinder Camp includes educational and recreational activities such as crafts, games, music, water play and special games. Activities are coordinated with a weekly theme, and a field or event is planned each week.

This is a great opportunity for children who haven’t attended since last summer to reconnect, or for our new families to meet the staff who will be mentoring their children this summer as well as get pertinent information and questions answered.

SUMMER CAMP WEEKLY THEMES

June 4-June 8: We Are Family: Welcome to Kinder Camp where we are all part of a family. We will end our week at Derby Dinner Playhouse enjoying the show Rapunzel. 
June 11-June 15: Aloha: There’s a whole big world on the ocean floor and on the islands. Come set sail and explore as we journey to the Louisville Zoo.
June 18-June 22: Community Helpers/Superheroes: Who is your superhero? What super powers do they possess? Meet some every day superheroes protecting us  in our community. Our field trip will be at the Charlestown Family Park where we will play at the splash-pad and climb on the pirate ship playground.
June 25-June 29: Big Red Barn: Up before the sun to feed the animals, tend to the crops and drive the tractors to the field. Come lend a helping hand as we go to Farm LIFE (formerly Deere Farms) and see first hand what life is like on a farm. 
July 2-July 6: Let's Celebrate (no camp July 4): Tis the season to celebrate every holiday in just one month. Celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks, Christmas aboard the Polar Express, Trick or Treating on Halloween (in your costume) and an Easter egg hunt, all in one holiday fun filled week.
July 9-July 13: Little Picassos: Paint, color, sculpt and glue, Kinder Camp wants to create with you. We will wrap up or week of artistic creativity with some indoor fun at SIGS.
July 16-July 20: Diggin' for Dinosaurs: We are digging deep into the prehistoric era to uncover the dynamic dinosaurs that once roamed our Earth. We will splash around in the Jurassic pool (Clarksville) to end our dinosaur expedition.

YMCA Camp Piomingo has been providing community, friendship and fun for over 75 years!
