CAMP ODYSSEY SUMMER DAY CAMP

AGES 5-8

We will gather together each day with a spirited themed assembly that builds unity and fosters friendships throughout our camp. We are incorporating the Y-Core values (Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility) in each weekly theme. We will offer specialized activities that focus on enhancing children's knowledge in STEM, Literacy, Character Building, and Fitness.

CAMP KICKOFF/PARENT ORIENTATION: MAY 21

May 21; 6:15 pm-8 pm: Norton Commons Elementary Cafeteria

Please join us on Thursday, May 21 at Norton Commons Elementary, in the cafeteria. Families with campers ages: 5-6 will meet at 6:15-7 pm; families with campers ages: 7-8 will meet at 7:15-8 pm for our summer camp kickoff and parent orientation.

Camp Staff will be there to greet you and answer any questions you might have. During this time, we will also go through our camp guide and verify your registration information. Campers will have the opportunity to meet old and new friends while enjoying time making crafts and participating in some of our exciting camp activities.

SUMMER CAMP WEEKLY THEMES

June 1-5 - Welcome To Adventureland - The world awaits! Join us as we travel around the world during this week of exciting discoveries. From inside the Amazon Rainforest to the top of Mt. Everest, we're ready for a great adventure. We'll take a closer look into the unique culture, foods, games, and art from all over the world. There's so much to experience! Get ready to explore!
June 8-12 - Going For Gold - Game on! Join in on the fun as we enjoy a week full of games and activities focused on teamwork and sportsmanship! Campers will gain a better understanding of what it means to play with character, all while enjoying some of their favorite recreational games. We'll conclude our week with our Camp Olympics Ceremony to celebrate each camper's efforts throughout the week.
June 15-19 - Journey To Space - 3...2...1...BLAST OFF! There's no limit to the fun in store during this week of exploration! Comets, planets, stars, and more are all waiting to be discovered. This week, campers will explore our Earth's atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system. Suit up for an exciting mission past the stars and through the galaxy!
June 22-26 - Walk On The Wild Side - Calling all young Zoologists, Veterinarians, Animal Trainers, and Animal Lovers. This week is sure to awaken your inner wild side! Campers will enjoy a week full of exciting experiences caring for animals, learning interesting facts about animals from all over the world, and gaining up close encounters with some of our furry friends.
June 29-July 3 - Kids With Capes - There's a superhero in each and every one of us! This week campers will tap into discovering their own superpowers and how they can use those powers for the good of serving others. Campers will gain understanding of having empathy for the world around them while enjoying fun crafts and activities that are mission driven and can be used to help those in our community.
July 6-10 - Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead - The world around us is ever changing. New ideas and creations are being thought of every day! This week, campers will become young scientists & engineers, exploring and learning about the world around them. Creative juices will begin to flow as campers enjoy activities that encourage problem solving, creative thinking, and teamwork.
July 13-17 - Underwater Explorers - Gear up as we take a dive into life under the sea! This week, things get wet and wild as campers explore the deep blue sea through exciting activities, storytelling, and crafts. Campers will surely beat the summer heat as we enjoy wacky water games, and of course, make a big splash at the pool!
July 20-24 - Mission Possible - Alright detectives, we need your help! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to use your training and expertise to recover the missing camp artifact. Do you think you can break out of camp's escape room, or successfully get through a laser maze? We'll need your special skills to help solve top secret puzzles and challenges that will give clues to completing your mission!
July 27-31 - Digging For Dinos -They may have roamed the Earth millions of years ago, but this week we'll travel back to prehistoric times and explore the lives of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, and many more amazing Dinosaurs! Campers will get hands-on as we measure enormous Dinosaur footprints and practice our Dino excavating skills. This week will be Dino-might!
Aug 3-7 - Hanging on To Summer - This week is sure to be a celebration to remember! Join us as we take time this week engaged in some of our top favorite games and activities. As camp comes to a close, the experiences this summer will last a lifetime. Camp is the place to be this week as we make sure to end summer with a bang!
