KAMP KERMIT SUMMER DAY CAMP

AGES 4-5

Kamp Kermit gives your child the opportunity to feel a sense of belonging while they spend their summer making friends. Activities will include our weekly visits to take care of the small farm animals we have for camp. Weekly trips to the Oldham County Aquatic Center, camp songs, crafts, and each camper has the ability to earn all four of our Core Values bracelets that display Caring, Honesty, Responsibility, and Respect

SUMMER CAMP WEEKLY THEMES

June 11-June 15: Welcome to the Jungle, We've got Fun and Games: This week is all about animals. Lions, Zebras, Elephants, Gorillas and more. We will learn about all the animals you can find on a jungle safari as well as see these animals live at the Louisville Zoo. This week STEM activities will center around the environment and animals.
June 18-June 22: Sitting on the Dock of the Bay: This week is all about water sports and games. Campers will take part in activities ranging from water gun fights to relay races down slip and slides. We will also be fishing in the pond next door. This week will be a great way to cool off from the summer heat.
June 25-June 29: This Land Is Your Land This Land Is My Land: Take a deep breath of fresh air with this week of camp. We will be outside exploring every part of nature. We will be taking hikes, using nature to create art, learning about our local wildlife and flora. STEM activities will focus on nature this week.
July 2-July 6: Party in the USA (No Camp July 4): This week is all about America. We will be showing our American spirit with games, crafts and good ol’ American know-how. We will have a barbecue, hang out by the pool, and spend time learning about the place we love! Wear your stars and stripes all week!
July 9-July 13: Thriller Nights: Join us for a fun filled week celebrating a new holiday each day of the week! Campers will get to relive some of their favorite Holidays as each day of the week will be a new one to celebrate. Want to have Halloween in July, then come join for a great themed week. It will be a scream.
July 16-July 20: We're Dynamite: Calling all scientists out there. This week will be filled with crazy craft creations with a heavy science theme. This week will be highlighted by our Egg Drop contest and trip to the Science Center.
July 23-July 27: Born to Run: Campers will have an opportunity to experience a wide variety of sports from Basketball to Volleyball. We will be trying out sports from other countries as well as American classics like Baseball and Kickball. S.T.E.M. activities will focus on sports science this week.
July 30-August 3: Around the World in 5 Days: Campers will be immersed in cultures from around the world. Each day campers will learn about a different country around the world and experience games, food, songs and traditions from those countries.
August 6-August 10: Life is Better when it's Wetter: Join us for a fun filled week of water sports, water games and just plain watery goodness. Camp this week will be all about water games and activities while our STEM activities will focus on water.
