REOPENING WITH CARE

MEMBERSHIP PROTOCOLS

We are very much looking forward to when we can all be together at the Y again! We recognize how important it will be to follow current health guidelines and implement new practices to ensure a healthy and safe environment. You will see new cleaning routines, signage to assist with social distancing, and limited activities where social distancing or guidance tells us it is not yet safe. Please keep in mind, these guidelines are subject to change based on new information or additional guidance from health officials.

MEMBER MASK/FACE COVERING POLICY

In accordance with the Governor Beshear’s Executive Order, all YMCA of Greater Louisville locations requires members (age 6+) to wear face masks or coverings in all areas up to the start of vigorous physical activity. Health experts continue to remind us that the benefits of hand washing, physical distancing and masks are our best tools for reducing the spread of the coronavirus. Requiring masks, combined with the other steps we are taking to provide a safe environment, is the best way to keep our members and staff healthy.

Please also note that we are designating one hour each day from 2 pm-3 pm in which masks will be required even during physical activity in order to serve members who are apprehensive about working out where others are not wearing a masks.
