KIDS CLUB AND KIDS ZONE
More than ever, busy parents need support. When parents come to the Y for a class, group activity or workout, their kids need a safe, enriching environment where they can build healthy, trusting relationships with other kids and adults. At Kids' Club, children play under the supervision of caring, trained Y staff. At the same time, their parents are able to relax, connect with other Y members and enjoy healthy activities at the Y. And best of all, with your family Y membership, it's free!
KIDS CLUB HOURS
Recommended Ages: 6 weeks-4 years
Monday-Friday: 7:45 am-1 pm; 3:45 pm-8:30 pm
Saturday: 7:45 am-2 pm
Sunday: 12:45 pm-4 pm
KIDS ZONE HOURS
Recommended Ages: 5-12 years. This space includes age appropriate crafts, games, ping-pong, and interactive video games.
Monday-Friday: 4:30 pm-7:30 pm
Saturday: 10 am-2 pm
Sunday: 1 pm-4 pm
Holiday hours for both Kids' Club and Kids' Zone are from 7:45 am-2 pm. Please call 812.283.9622 to check Kids' Club and Kids' Zone hours on days with weather-related school closings.
KIDS CLUB POLICIES
Sign In: Children 6 and younger must be checked in by a parent or guardian. Your membership card will be scanned to verify the correct family member is dropping off and picking up the child. Parents must stay at the facility at all times.
Children 7-13 years old must sign the appropriate clipboard to use the Adventure Center. Youth members will be stamped are able to leave the area. A 3-hour time limit exists in each of the areas.
Food & Drinks: Bottles and spill-proof cups are permitted in both Kid’s Club and Kids Zone. Please do not bring food into any Kids' Club area.
Attire: Children are asked to arrive wearing clean, dry diapers. Parents, please provide diapers and wipes in order for staff to make changes during the child's visit. All items, including diaper bags, should be labeled. We are not responsible for lost items. Please remember all Kids' Club areas require shirts, shorts/pants and covered feet at all times.
Illness: For the health and well-being of all our members, children with a fever, severe cold, diarrhea, vomiting or any childhood diseases will not be admitted. We ask that children be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to any Kids' Club area. Should such symptoms develop while in our care, the parent will be contacted and immediate pick-up is required.
Behavior: Children must cooperate with staff at all times and demonstrate the four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Behavior outside this parameter will be dealt with on an individual basis. Parents may be asked to help with uncooperative children.
If a child is upset and cannot be comforted within 20 minutes, a staff person will notify you. This is to ensure the best and safest experience for all.
We like to be attentive to all of our children's needs. If your child is potty training, please let us know so that we can be prepared and help with the process.
Misc. Items: Candy, gum, toys and video games are not permitted in any area. Please leave coats, backpacks and bags outside of the play area in the cubbies. We cannot be responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced items.
