Our Forever Young group gives the opportunity to get involved and make friends at the Downtown Family YMCA through exercise programs designed especially with the active older adult in mind or through our various day trips and luncheons. All group exercise classes are included with membership and a minimal charge may occur with day trips and luncheons.
GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES
Our group exercise class geared towards seniors is called Forever Fit. This class is a low impact high energy class geared to beginner exercisers and those who don't move as quickly as they use to. This class incorporates a cardiovascular portion, strength portion, and stretch and relaxation.
Shallow Water Aerobics is a shallow water exercise class. A one hour, low impact cardiovascular workout. It is not necessary to know how to swim.
