Sign In: A parent or guardian must check in children 6 years old and younger. Your membership card will be scanned to verify the correct family member is dropping off. When leaving your child in our care, please make sure you are here at the Y at all times. With your permission, children 7-12 years old can check themselves out of Kids’ Club and utilize another part of the facility that is age appropriate for them. Your child will be in either our Infant Room (ages 6 weeks-2 years old), our Toddler’s Room (ages 2-4 years old) or in our Kid Zone (ages 4-12 years old). Your child is welcome to play for up to 3 hours, per day, while you are here at Y.

New Friends: Some children may experience anxiety when entering Kids’ Club. This is very normal and we work hard to make your child feel comfortable. For the safety of your child, if they continue to cry after 15 minutes we may come to get you to help calm your child. Staff will come get you sooner at your request. Our staff take great pride in helping children overcome separation anxiety, but sometimes we may need to ask for your help.

Food & Drinks: Bottles and spill-proof cups are permitted in our infant room. We ask that you utilize our café to give any snacks or food to your child.

Attire: Please come prepared with a pair of socks for your child; but don’t worry, we do have a spare for your child to use. Club Y requires closed toe shoes to utilize the traverse wall. If your child is under the age of 4, please make sure they arrive wearing a clean and dry diaper. Please label your diaper bag and other items that are left during your visit. It is important to leave extra diapers and wipes in order for staff to make changes during the child's visit. The Y is not responsible for lost items.

Illness: For the health and well being of all our members, children with a fever, severe cold, diarrhea, vomiting or any childhood diseases will be asked to come back when they are no longer displaying these symptoms. We ask that your child be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to any Kids' Club area. Should such symptoms develop while in our care, the parent will be contacted and immediate pick-up is required.

Behavior: The Y’s Core Values are caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. We ask that child play with their friends by displaying these values while in our care. Our Kids’ Club staff are trained to use redirection to address behavioral needs. If redirection does not work, your child will be asked to take a moment and sit out to allow them to calm down, one minute per year of age. Our staff will inform you if your child is struggling with behavior while in our care. Behavior outside this parameter will be addressed with on an individual basis.

Club Y: Club Y is specifically designed for older youth who are between 7-12 years old. The purpose of this area is to provide age-appropriate activities and structure for older youth. Club Y requires closed toe shoes to utilize the traverse wall. A staff person will always be in the room when open.
Our Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
