Our Smart Start Program is a series of three complimentary coaching sessions, designed to support you in pursuit of your health and wellness goals. A Healthy Living Coach will meet with you to discuss your needs and interests. Together, you’ll develop an achievable plan for success.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Everyone! Whether you’re new to exercise, have dabbled in it your whole life, or are comfortable in your regular workout routine, we will help you make the most of your YMCA membership. If you’re interested in group classes, swimming, walking, family programs, cycling or use of our wellness area and equipment, our coaches can help. The Smart Start experience is an opportunity for us to create your personalized road map for success and support you along the way.

WHAT TO EXPECT
During the first session, we’ll help you identify your SMART goals and why they are important to you. We’ll uncover what has helped you be successful in the past and what tends to get in your way. We’ll get you started with confidence and provide necessary support.
During the second session, you’ll have an opportunity to share progress towards your goals with your coach and ask questions if you’re unsure. Together, we’ll develop a workout and accountability plan that works best for you.
During the third session, we’ll evaluate your progress, compare it to the goals set in the first session, and make any necessary changes to help you stay on track. Together, we’ll celebrate your accomplishments and make adjustments to keep going!

As you prepare for your first Smart Start Session, ask yourself the following questions:

- What has helped you be successful in the past?
- What tends to get in your way?
