The YMCA's youth baseball and tee-ball leagues introduce the skills of throwing, catching and hitting. Children build their skills and knowledge of the game and learn the importance of teamwork all while having fun!
YMCA baseball is proudly sponsored by Norton Children's.
At the Y, we offer summer tee-ball and baseball leagues for boys and girls ages 3-8 at locations across the Greater Louisville and southern Indiana area. We work on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character building in a fun, safe environment that allows all players to grow in self-confidence and thrive.
We also offer adaptive tee-ball and baseball leagues in the summer that are specifically designed so that youth with special needs can experience building skills, confidence and friendships through sports.

YMCA tee-ball and baseball focus on building a lifelong interest in sports, fostering good sportsmanship and introducing the fundamental skills of throwing, catching and hitting. Rules and equipment are designed to help children build their skills and knowledge of the game as they progress through each age division. All players receive a jersey, hat and award. Players need to provide their own glove.
Tee-ball introduces kids to many of the rules of baseball. Each child plays in the field every game and bats every inning. Teams will play a five-game season and practice 20 minutes before each game.
This is a coach pitch division. Coaches throw under or overhand from approximately 30 feet away. No one strikes out. After five pitches, a child may hit off a tee. Tee-balls are used for safety and everyone gets to play in the field. Teams practice once a week for one hour and play a seven-game season.
This is a machine pitch division. Players hit off a machine that throws the ball at approximately 20-30 mph. Rules used are very similar to traditional baseball. The balls have an injury-reduced core for softer impact. Teams practice once a week for one hour and play a seven-game season.
Thank you for your interest in YMCA tee-ball/baseball. At this time, there are no sessions available for registration. Please check back later for registration information. Registration typically opens in March and the season runs June-July.
