Program Levels
Ages 3–4 (Co-ed Tee-Ball)
Tee-ball introduces kids to the basics of baseball. Each child bats every inning and plays in the field every game. Teams practice for 20 minutes before each of the five games in the season.
Ages 5–6 (Co-ed Coach Pitch Baseball)
This coach-pitch division focuses on batting, fielding, and learning the rules. Coaches pitch underhand or overhand from ~30 feet away. Players may hit off a tee after five pitches. All players get to bat and play in the field each game. Teams practice one hour per week and play a seven-game season.
Ages 7–8 (Co-ed Coach/Machine Pitch Baseball)
This machine-pitch division simulates more traditional baseball. A pitching machine delivers balls at 20–30 mph. Injury-reduced baseballs are used for safety. Teams practice one hour per week and play a seven-game season.
Why YMCA Baseball?

Fundamental Skill Building
Players learn the essentials—throwing, catching, hitting, and base running—through developmentally appropriate coaching and drills.

Teamwork & Sportsmanship
Whether it’s their first swing or a game-winning catch, kids learn to support teammates and celebrate effort, not just the outcome.

Confidence Through Play
Games are structured for inclusion and fun, ensuring each child builds confidence and feels like part of the team.
