Ages: 3–14 years
Season Dates:
Winter League (January–March)
Registration typically opens in September. Programs are offered at Y locations throughout Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana.
Practice & Game Schedule:
- Teams practice once per week on weeknights
- Games are typically held on weekends
- Schedules are based on coach and venue availability, parent requests, and holiday/weeknight conflicts
Pricing:
- YMCA Facility Members: Starting at $115
- Program Members: Starting at $140

Program Levels
Ages 3–4 (Co-ed):
Introductory program focused on motor skills and basic ball-handling. Six-foot hoops and 27.5" balls are used. Each week includes a 15–20 minute practice followed by a short game.
Ages 5–6 (Co-ed):
Builds on fundamentals like dribbling, passing, and shooting with an introduction to team play. Eight-foot hoops and 27.5" balls are used. One practice and one game per week.
Ages 7–8 (Boys & Girls Divisions):
Players begin to explore defensive strategies, team positions, and game flow. Teams use 27.5" balls and nine-foot hoops and may play full-court games.
Ages 9–10 (Boys & Girls Divisions):
Advanced play with focus on strategy, defense, and game rules. Players use a 28.5" ball and standard ten-foot hoops. Fouls, traveling, and double dribbling are called. Teams participate in a season-ending tournament.
Ages 11+ (Boys & Girls Divisions):
Designed to mirror middle school-style play. Games are full-court with 10-foot goals and regulation balls. Strategy, substitutions, and sportsmanship are emphasized. Travel to other YMCAs may be required.
