Children will have the opportunity to make their summer active and fun through crafts, sports, indoor and outdoor games, new friends and other fun ways to discover who they are. Although still structured, YMCA Summer Camps are more relaxed than the school routine and offer time and freedom for spontaneous play.

Kermit Camps

Ages 4-5

Our Kermit Camps provide a safe and nurturing environment where children have fun, make new friends and explore new activities! Camp activities are created around exciting weekly themes with an emphasis on building confidence self-reliance, problem solving skills. We will go on one field trip a week and one on campus experience a week.

Explorer Camps

Ages 6-10

Welcome to a summer experience that is so much more than camp. This summer, Explorer campers will run, play, and explore, all in a safe and positive environment that emphasizes problem-solving skills, self-reliance, and self-confidence. We will go on two field trips a week, with one of those going to an Aquatic Center.

Camp Horizon

Ages 11-13

Campers will be taking 4 field trips each week. One of those field trips will be traveling to Kentucky Kingdom once a week. Campers will help plan and choose which field trips they want to go on each week. They will also learn important life skills such as CPR/First Aid, junior lifeguard certification, baby sitting certification, youth fitness fundamentals and basic cooking skills and more.

Leaders in Training (LIT)

Ages 13-15

The Leaders in Training (LIT) program provides teens the opportunity to learn readily-applicable leadership skills that go beyond just camp. LITs will spend part of their time doing hands-on work at camp, such as leading games and crafts or helping camp staff with other activities. They will also be learning about important leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, and responsibility.
