Ages: Kindergarten through 6th grade
Schedule:
- Before school: 6:30 am until the school day begins
- After school: School dismissal until 6 pm
- Full-day care on in-service days, snow days, and school breaks
Weekly Rates:
- Weekly rates start at $32 per child
Registration fees apply. Join the Y to save on child care costs.

How It Works
The After School Enrichment Program provides a safe, structured, and fun environment where kids can recharge and grow beyond the classroom.
Children benefit from:
- Homework help and reading time
- Weekly curriculum themes covering arts, fitness, nutrition, STEM, and more
- Group games, creative projects, and supervised free play
- Healthy afternoon snacks and peer connection
- Social-emotional learning rooted in Y values
All staff are CPR and First Aid certified, background checked, and receive extensive professional training.

- Green Valley Elementary (afternoon only)
- Hazelwood Middle School (held at Mount Tabor Elementary)
- Highland Hills Middle School
- Mount Tabor Elementary
- S. Ellen Jones Elementary (afternoon only, held at Fairmont)
- Scribner Middle School (morning at Scribner, afternoon at Grant Line)
- Slate Run Elementary

School Breaks, In-Service Days & Snow Days

School Break Camps
We offer full-day care during fall, winter, and spring breaks to keep kids active, engaged, and connected. Camp days include themed enrichment, games, crafts, and outdoor play at the Floyd County Family YMCA.

Snow Days
Care is available from 7 am to 6 pm at the Floyd County Family YMCA for registered participants (weather permitting). Children should bring a lunch and dress for winter conditions. Space is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis

In-Service Days
Full-day care is provided at the Floyd County Family YMCA. A $10 registration fee applies ($15 if registering the week of). Children should bring a lunch; the Y provides snacks. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.
