YOUTH FITNESS FUNDAMENTALS
Our Youth Fitness Fundamentals is our well-being program for kids and teens, ages 10-14 years old.
We focus on teaching good nutrition habits, muscle groups, and have hands on training with fitness circuit and cardio equipment. Completion of this course allows kids and teens to use the cardiovascular machines and selected strength machines in our Wellness Center.
Every participant has to complete 3 phases in order to use our Wellness Center:
PHASE 1 | ONLINE TRAINING
Go to http://firstnetcampus.com/KAW2/entities/YLouisville/logon.htm, register and complete the online training. A score of at least 90% is needed to move on to Phase 2. (Don't worry, you can try multiple times.) Print out your certificate and bring it to your Youth Fitness Fundamentals appointment.
PHASE 2 | FITNESS APPOINTMENT
You will meet with one of our trained wellness coaches to go over workout technique and proper use of equipment (does not include free weights). Please make sure that you are dressed in comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.
PHASE 3 | PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT
Our wellness coach will give a practical assessment in which you will demonstrate that you know the proper technique for use of the equipment. This may be scheduled by the coach or during a visit to the wellness center.
