Swimming Challenges
Are you looking to add competition and fun to your aquatic workouts? Swimming challenges are offered throughout the year to help improve your well-being and have fun! All branches participate in the Duel in the Pool swimming challenge while hosting their own challenges throughout the year.
Swimming challenges are offered throughout the year at various locations. Challenge offerings may vary by location.
Rates vary by challenge.
Challenges are open to YMCA facility members ages 18 and up. Some challenges may be open to the general public.
Year-Round Challenges
Offered throughout the year at the Clark County Family YMCA
- Roaming the Orchards (Monthly): During this challenge, swim the mileage it would take to get to Huber's Orchard.
- Back to the Basics (Jan 1-Feb 28; March 1-May 7; May 8-July 10): During this challenge, swim the mileage it would take to get to Fort Knox (45 miles).
- Trail of Adventure (January 1-May 31 and June 1-December 31): During this challenge, swim the mileage it would take to get to Mammoth Cave National Park (100 miles).
For all swimming challenges, you can use your local swimming and/or use your own mileage. All participants will earn a commemorative magnet when they complete a swimming challenge.
Rates: $5 per participant (open to YMCA facility members only)
