Y-NOW Mentoring

Y-NOW Mentoring

Children with incarcerated parents are seven times more likely to become incarcerated themselves. The Y-NOW Children of Prisoners Program aims to break that cycle, but we need your help.

Volunteers support every area of the Y-NOW Program, but we have a heightened need for volunteers to serve as mentors who will listen and provide encouragement, support, and stability.

Make a Donation

The kids, teens, young adults, and families who benefit from the programs and services of YMCA Safe Place Services do not pay any fees. It is only through contributed funds, your donations and grants, that make our work possible. On average, it costs approximately $100 per day to provide a case worker and care, including housing and food. Your gift allows us to continue to provide the necessary resources to ensure every young person and family in crisis has a safe place to turn.
